Gastown Tasting Tour
Tuesday to Saturday – $110
This is not your average small-bites, sampling tour. Think of it as a progressive dinner where guests dine their way through the historic Gastown district, Vancouver’s most vibrant restaurant scene and Canada’s cocktail capitol. Expect award- winning restaurants, inventive dishes, eccentric personalities, and inspiring decor.
We begin our adventure at a stylish brew pub for a local beer tasting with food pairing. Craft beer is not only a trend, it’s a passion for many, including our well-versed guides. We compliment the 3 craft beers with signature appetizers to showcase Westcoast flavours.
The next stop is a lavish craft cocktail bar with old-world charms. Decked out in vests and ties, the expert barkeeps shake up classic cocktails while imparting knowledge on the art of imbibing. Time-honoured canapés are served, each with a story of its own.
Next, take a stroll in the neighbourhood and become acquainted with the hottest restaurants and historical landmarks. Along the way, learn about the quarter’s legends and secrets.
Follow your guide into an inconspicuous, pebble stone back alley where a hidden gem is tucked away from everyday tourists. There, guests will enjoy 3 BC wines alongside local farm charcuterie and cheeses from an ever-changing chalkboard menu. Nearby BC farms produce award-winning meat and cheese products that cannot be missed.
Then hop a few steps over to a modern, upscale Chinese dining lounge that embodies the area’s cultural history. Entice your taste buds with innovative classics that push the envelope. We pair an Asian-inspired cocktail with the intricate plates for a truly unique experience.
