From November 5-15, 2015 head up to Whistler for this mega celebration of food and wine.  Cornucopia features local and regional restaurants, chefs, producers, breweries, distilleries and wineries, and has emerged as the West Coast’s premier resort-based epicurean extravaganza. Cornucopia offers a full spectrum experience spanning from gala tastings to winery dinners, interactive seminars, electric after-parties, to Nourish’s health and wellness series and its three day Nourish Retreat at Cornucopia. Cocktails in Kitsilano

While our tours don’t take you to this neighbourhood, we definitely recommend a trip over to Kitsilano for it’s many dining and drinking options.  Four restaurants in the Vancouver neighborhood of Kitsilano collaborate via Instagram to bring awareness to the growing cocktail culture forming in the neighborhood. For the month of November AnnaLena, Maenam, Mission Kits and Supermarine welcome guests to enjoy a craft cocktail at their establishments and Instagram a photograph of it with the hashtag #CocktailsInKits for the chance to win a $200 prize.

Joe Fortes Celebrates 30 years on November 10!

If you love oysters you should definitely stop in here for happy hour $1 buck a shucks and a ton of other great food special (don’t miss the lobster rolls and clams). Joe Fortes is throwing an anniversary gala on Tuesday, November 10. Guests are invited to don their finest cocktail attire and join the celebration. “Vancouver’s Best Oyster Bar” will be shucking fresh oysters, passing gourmet canapés and serving local wine and beer.  The Adam Woodall Band will be serenading the crowd in the downstairs bistro while a DJ will set the mood on Joe’s rooftop garden. A live auction of specialty services and unique gift packages offers attendees the chance to leave with more than just memories. Tickets for the event are now available. Granville Island’s Oyama Sausage Cassoulet Fest

A trip to Vancouver is never complete without a visit to Granville Island to check out all the food vendors, art galleries and theatres. While your  there on Thursday November 19 to Sunday 22, Oyama Sausage’s Famous Cassoulet Fest is on!  Beans, beans, beans, cooked to perfection à la française with the option to add duck confit, Toulouse sausages, Parisienne à l`ail and a dollop of the garlickiest Beurre de Gascogne possible. Also this weekend, try some of the fabulous Jambon de Bayonne as an appetizer. Take your receipt to Liberty Wines on Granville Island and receive 10% off a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau.  Bon appetit et santé!

Pelican Bay Fall 2015

The Pelican Bay Fall Wine Tasting 

Also in Granville Island  at Dockside Restaurant on November 17th the Coal Harbour Liquor Store welcomes 20 wineries pouring 100 wines. From 5-8 pm sample a wide range of delicious wines in warm, inviting surrounding. Coal Harbour Liquor Store has invited only the best and most interesting wineries and suppliers to be part of this event. With superb BC selections being poured alongside wines from the great wine growing regions of the world, guests are sure to leave with some new favourites.

The $35 event ticket also includes a $10 voucher to apply toward any purchase at Coal Harbour Liquor Store along with delicious made-from-scratch tapas from Dockside’s kitchen and a free shuttle from the store to Dockside which begins running at 4:45pm.
