Happy Food Truck Tuesday!  Vancouver’s food cart and truck scene has grown by leaps and bounds in recent years.  Every week, we’ll take you on a virtual tour to one of Vancouver’s most popular mobile eateries.  Get to know the heroes behind the food that battle the weather, lunch line ups. and your hunger.

In Zach Berman’s own words: Travel inspired. Driven by health and flavour. Dairy free, gluten free, and vegan. We try to continually re invent the notion of cold pressed juices and smoothies. We make the most nutritionally complete juice possible. Our premium cold press makes juice that contains more essential vitamins, minerals and enzymes than juice made any other way. The cold press also preserves the natural flavours of the produce, which we feel makes the juice tastier.

Oh, and its not just juice and smoothies…. we have daily salads, healthy snacks, and a warm winter menu!

Below are 5 quick questions that we asked Zach

What “hole” do you fill in Vancouver’s food scene?

Juice does some amazing things for your body and health. It’s also delicious, refreshing and hydrating, which is every bit as important. Especially the delicious part. We strive to offer Vancouver quick, accessible and nutritious food without sacrificing any flavour!

What’s the most popular combination that people order at your food cart?

The Almost Chocolate Smoothie – Raw cacao nibs, raw cacao powder blended with banana, almond butter, medjol dates, raw maca & almond milk.

The Remedy Juice – Pineapple pressed with cucumber, wheatgrass, ginger & mint.

If you could change 1 by-law to help your business, what would you change?

I would change it so that food trucks were allowed to operate on private property so that we could create more food truck ‘pod’ events.

Where do you like to unwind after a long day (in Vancouver)?

Crab Park, Chinatown, and the endowment lands are a few of my favourite places to stomp around. Steveston in Richmond is another favourite.

What would be your last meal before a zombie apocalypse?

Some Khotu Roti from nooru mohal (or any restaurant in Sri Lanka) and a fresh coconut!
