It’s no secret that Vancouver is home to some of the best restaurants in the world.  What’s more, BC has more than 40 craft, small batch breweries that specialize in using natural processes and ingredients, resulting in amazingly flavorful beers.

Vancouver Craft Beer Week is a fantastic way to experience the best brews BC has to offer.  Highlights include 9 headliner events, 6 opening act events, 36 neighborhood gigs, and more than a dozen week-long specials.  Beer enthusiasts and the curious are sure to find something that will wet their whistle so be sure to snag a ticket or 3!

Schedule and tickets for the third annual Vancouver Craft Beer Week will be released on this coming Thursday April 12th at 11:59pm via

From May 18th-26th, VCBW 2012 presents a craft beer tour of 9 Headliner events, 6 Opening Act events, 36 Neighborhood Gigs, and more than a dozen week-long specials. Plug in, crank it up, and sample the playlist from the “Rock Stars” of over 60 participating craft breweries.

On May 18th, Mayor Gregor Robertson will kick off festivities at the VCBW Opening Night Overture Presented by Darby’s Liquor Store in the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Center, reading the official Vancouver Craft Beer Week proclamation and tapping the first VCBW 2012 Collaboration Beer cask.

Featured Headliner events include the Hop-Headbanger’s Ball, Hoppapalooza 3, Biercraft Belgian Showcase, Battle of the Bartenders Beer Cocktail Competition, Cicerone vs. Sommelier, and Sisters of the Tap.

Wrapping up VCBW 2012 will be the two-day VCBW Beer Festival Presented by Legacy Liquor Store & BierCraft, on May 25th & 26th at The Salt Building in The Village on False Creek.
