From the press release:
Dish ‘n Dazzle, in support of the BC Hospitality Foundation (BCHF) is now in it’s fourth fabulous year and has become one of the most anticipated annual food and wine events in Vancouver. The event is one of the signature fundraisers for the foundation, whose prime mandate is to provide financial support for individuals within the hospitality industry who are struggling with a financial crisis arising from a health or medical condition.
The BCHF is presenting this exciting event in partnership with Wines of Chile (WoC). WoC is committed to promoting the quality and image of Chilean wine throughout the world. It has offices across the globe and has representatives here in Western Canada. WoC will be presenting wines from such acclaimed producers as Concha y Toro, Errazuriz, Koyle, Vinedos Emiliana, and many more. But as most people know, great wine tastes better when paired with great food! 12 diverse and award-winning restaurants from across the Lower Mainland are offering unique culinary delights created specifically to match the flavourful Chilean wines. Chefs from Gotham Steakhouse, Italian Kitchen, Pier 7 Restaurant, and Killjoy Barbers, among others, will be in attendance to share their delicious offerings with guests at the event.
Adding yet another layer of excitement will be the cocktail competition event, featuring custom cocktails created some of the finest mixologists in BC, including Sarah John (L’Abattoir, Vancouver), Tia Stonier (The Mix by Rics, Whistler), Josh Boudreau (Veneto Lounge, Victoria), Lauren Mote (Kale & Nori and Bittered Sling, Vancouver), Julia Diakow (Killjoy Barbers, Vancouver), and Robyn Gray (PiDGiN, Vancouver). Guests will have a chance to sample these new creations and be onhand as a winner is announced!
A silent auction and a raffle draw round out the list of features for this fundraising event.
