If you’re visiting Vancouver during this time and are expecting the mild and sunny weather that you’ve heard so much about, you are in for a surprise. Even though it’s already May, it can still feel chilly in the evenings, especially after a drizzle.
Cozy, French bistro comfort food is perfect for the brisk, spring nights. Les Faux Bourgeois is a buzzing neighborhood joint in East Vancouver that serves up soul-warming French fare. Located on an artsy corner in East Vancouver, Les Faux is renowned for their hearty cassoulets, duck confit, moule frites, and other indulgent dishes.
Order a bottle of wine and warm up to some bistro classics. The lamb stew with tender chunks of lamb, haricot vert, turnips, and a generous dollop of garlic mash, is my top recommendation.
Les Faux doesn’t take reservations so arrive early or be prepared to wait, but it’ll be well worth it.
