The 6th annual Fraser Valley Food Show celebrates Oktoberfest with the 2nd Great Canadian Sausage Making Competition, 11th annual Master Chef Competition, and at least nine breweries and beer distributors participating in the popular Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting Pavilion on October 4, 5, and 6, 2013.

The Fraser Valley Food Show: Celebrating over 155 years of bountiful Fraser Valley harvests and food processing.

In response to overwhelming consumer demand in the Valley, the Fraser Valley Food Show showcases the magic of food and cooking at the Tradex Trade & Exhibition Centre in Abbotsford, BC (1190 Cornell Street, Abbotsford, BC V2T 6H5). Experience both local and international cuisine, celebrity chef demonstrations, cooking competitions, sausage-making competitions, cheese and wine seminars, Bite of the Valley participating restaurants, the Grapes and Hops Presentation Stage, and the Wine, Beer & Spirits Tasting Pavilion.

Throughout the three days of the show The Celebrity Cooking Stage will feature TV celebrities and presentations.

Come for lunch and stay for dinner! The Fraser Valley Food Show presents the Bite of the Valley Restaurant Pavilion. The chefs of favourite restaurants from in and around the Valley will serve up appetizer portions of their signature recipes. For a nominal charge ($1-$4) per item, visitors are able to savour the flavours of numerous eateries.

Beer, wine and spirits will be well represented in the Tasting Pavilion where visitors can sip and taste a wide selection of beverages. The Grapes and Hops Stage will feature presentations and tastings by numerous local and regional beer and wine experts.

While at the Fraser Valley Food Show, visitors will also enjoy shopping in the marketplace of over 100 exhibit booths. Producers, manufacturers, retailers and food artisans will showcase a wide assortment of unique products for eating, drinking, cooking, entertaining, and outfitting a kitchen. Visitors to the Fraser Valley Food Show will especially enjoy the variety of locally grown and produced specialty food items that are not usually found in grocery stores and supermarkets. The bounty of The Valley under one roof!

This year we have also launched the Gluten-Free Living Show in response to the overwhelming number of people seeking gluten-free products. This willl be the first time such an event has been organized in the Fraser Valley.  Don’t miss it!

The 2nd Great Canadian Sausage Making Competition takes centre stage at the Fraser Valley Food Show again on October 5th. Dozens of professional sausage makers from all over the province will have over a hundred sausage entries in a dozen categories ranging from chorizo to bratwurst.
