Melody Fury – Founder and Culinary Tour Guide

Melody Fury Founder of Vancouver Food Tour Melody Fury is Vancouver’s modern food culture ambassador. She showcases our city as a food writer, photographer and media personality. In early 2011, The Westender’s “Best of the City” edition awarded Melody the Local Entrepreneur of the Year title.

Melody promoted Vancouver’s food scene extensively during the Winter Olympics. She unveiled her city’s gems to an International audience through NBC’s Today Show, Food and Wine Radio, and Serious Eats.

This food and cocktail enthusiast has been published in four cookbooks and numerous international publications.

Her personal blog, GourmetFury.com, is the winner of Best Local Blog 2011 in The Westender and the Best Travel Blog in the 2011 Canadian Weblog Awards.

 


Nicole Coetzee – Culinary Tour Guide

Nicole Coetzee Vancouver Food Tour GuideA self proclaimed “Beer Nerd”, Nicole brings a hoppy perspective to the Vancouver Food Tour team. With one foot in the craft beer tank and the other in the local culinary scene, she can be spotted hopping all over town from up-scale restaurants, to homey delicatessen and tap-houses alike.

Nicole is involved with educating industry professionals, planning Vancouver Craft Beer Week events, and even brewed at a microbrewery in South Africa.  This passionate food lover also dabbles in the wine and cocktail scene and knows exactly where to get an incredible meal, no matter the budget or cuisine.

With dreams of becoming British Columbia’s first female beer sommelier, Nicole recently completed the prestigious Cicerone certification exam. Keep an eye on her blog for updates. Fingers crossed!

Carlos has enjoyed gourmet fare across the globe; Prague, New York, New Orleans and San Francisco, but is most enthusiastic to showcase the best of Vancouver.

An ambassador for a sustainable society, Carlos promotes eating (and drinking) locally. He shares his passion for local BC wines through Dobre Vino Wine Club by offering monthly wine tastings.  He has also published two calendars with recipes focusing on seasonal and regional ingredients.

As a dedicated and experienced host, Carlos always provides a fun, informative and memorable experience.

 


David Pearson – Culinary Tour Guide

David Pearson Vancouver Food Tour Guide. Taste BC's Best Restaurants on Guided Walking Culinary ToursWith over ten years experience working in hospitality and tourism across the globe, David’s transition to culinary tour guide was an organic process.

A native Vancouverite with an infectious personality, David loves to showcase all that makes Vancouver such an amazing city to live in and visit.  In a city with extensive multicultural flare, local knowledge is key and seeking a delicious meal is an endless adventure.

In addition to all things food, his passions include craft beer and wine.  As an amateur brewer, David is currently working on a cookbook that combines his love of brewing and cooking.  He is also excited to be visiting the wine region of Mendoza, Argentina in December.  Marrying great food, inspired drinks and fine company is his philosophy to a full life.

Brittany Yu Vancouver Food Tour GuideBrittany brings a wealth of experience from the fine dining and hospitality industry to the Vancouver Food Tour team, but most of all, she brings an insatiable passion for food. Well traveled and always hungry, Brittany has sought out some of the best foods across continents.

Also known for her video blog, The Wandering Dumpling, Brittany chronicles her ongoing adventures in food and travel in an entertaining series that is fueled by her bubbly personality, sense of humour, and unhealthy obsession with Shanghainese dumplings.

With over 10 years of involvement in the Vancouver food scene, Britt is the kind of insider who knows exactly what to eat and where to eat it.
